Tsumura-Kampo-Liquid Maoto

PRODUCT INFORMATION

INDICATIONS

Following symptoms in person with moderate physical strength: Initial stage of common cold(without spontaneous sweating), coryza, rhinitis, headache, shoulder stiffness, muscle pain, and pain in hands and shoulder.

INGREDIENTS

Daily dosage 90 mL (30 ml×3 bottles) of this medicine contain 81 mL of Maoto extract of the following mixed crude drugs;

JP Apricot Kernel 5.0 g
JP Ephedra Herb 5.0 g
JP Cinnamon Bark 4.0 g
JP Glycyrrhiza 1.5 g

(JP: The Japanese Pharmacopoeia)
Inactive ingredients: Sucrose. Paraben, Flavor (containing Ethanol, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, and Menthol).

DOSAGE

Take the following dosages before or between meals*. Shake the bottle before taking this medicine.

Age One dosage Daily dosage
15 years and over 1 bottle 3 times a day
Less than 15 years Do not use

*:”Take a medicine between meals” means “take it between two separate meals”, e.g., breakfast and lunch. It does not mean “take a medicine during a meal”.
[Caution]
(1) Observe the dosage and usage strictly.
(2) This medicine essentially contains precipitates. Therefore take it after shaking the bottle well.

  1. Store in a cool, dry place free from direct sunlight.

  2. Keep all medication out of the reach of children.

  3. Do not transfer this medicine to a different container (It may be misused or the quality may deteriorate).

  4. Do not take this medicine after the expiration date.

  5. Take full bottle of this medicine after opening.

  6. Do not store this medicine with opening a bottle.

CAUTION FOR USE

To be avoided

Failure to observe the following may result in the symptoms worsening or the occurrence ofadverse reactions/accidents.

Following persons should not take this medicine:Persons who is physically weak (declining of strength or constitutional weakness).

Who should seek consultation

  1. The following persons should consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered distributor before taking this medicine.

    1. Persons undergoing medical treatment from a physician.
    2. Pregnant women or women suspected of being pregnant.
    3. Persons who have gastrointestinal weakness.
    4. Persons with excessive sweating
    5. Elderly persons.
    6. Persons who have experienced rash, redness, itching, etc. due to medicines or something.
    7. Persons with the following symptoms: difficulty in urination.
    8. Persons diagnosed as having the following: hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, thyroid disease.
  2. The following symptoms may be adverse reactions to this medication. If any of these symptoms occur, stop taking this medicine immediately and consult a physician, pharmacist, or registered distributor. Take the instruction leaflet with you.

    In very rare cases the following serious symptoms may occur. In this case, consult a physician immediately.

    In addition to listlessness, stretched feeling, and stiffness of hands and feet, feeling of weakness and muscular pain will appear and gradually worsen.

  3. Stop taking this medicine and consult a physician, pharmacist or registered distributor if symptoms do not improve after taking this medicine for about 1 month ( 5 to 6times if you take this medicine for common cold and coryza). Take this leaflet with you.

  4. If you take this medicine regularly for a long periods, consult a physician, pharmacist or registered distributor.
